Today I received an award from the “US Commerce Association” (USCA) announcing that my website Today’s Woman has been selected for the 2009 Best of Tullahoma Award in the Internal Medicine Practitioners category. This is humorous as Today’s Woman is not a medical website.

When I researched further I learned that the US Commerce Association was part of a mass distributed award scheme designed to get companies and websites such as Today’s Woman to pay for “vanity” awards (Phony business awards).

I celebrated Mya’s first birthday today with a cake, treats and presents for her. I know some people think it is crazy to celebrate a dogs birthday, but Mya is part of the family. Sometimes you just have to do things that are over the top.

Well we brought the new addition to the DesRochers family home from the breeder yesterday. We introduced him to Mya, who doesn’t know what to think of him just yet. It was fun watching him chase her around the house. You should see his little legs go.

One of my son’s friends shared with him a “starter” for Amish Friendship Bread. Amish Friendship Bread is sort of like a chain letter. It gets passed from one friend to another to another. It’s the gift that just keeps on giving.
