Amazon Wish Lists just turned 10, and their celebrating with 10 weeks of sweepstakes and prices.

Each week you will be able to enter one of 10 “themed Wish List sweepstakes.”

My son is a big fan of the “Twilight series,” so of coarse the first themed Wishlist sweepstakes caught my eye.

This week Amazon is giving customers the chance to enter and win a trip for two to Los Angeles to see the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

If you’ve never heard of “Twilight” then you must have been in hibernation for the last year.

Halloween costumes have certainly come a long way since I was a child. Take for example this new “Headless Horseman Child Costume.” It would definitely be a costume contest winner.

You will most likely notice that I have changed my header. I’m going pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Breast Cancer is a subject very close to my heart. If you’ll remember just this year a very dear friend of mine developed breast cancer. In July she had a double mastectomy. Today she is breast cancer free.

This month I’m going pink for her and the 437 Canadian women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this week. Sadly, 104 Canadian women will die of breast cancer this week.

Today I received an award from the “US Commerce Association” (USCA) announcing that my website Today’s Woman has been selected for the 2009 Best of Tullahoma Award in the Internal Medicine Practitioners category. This is humorous as Today’s Woman is not a medical website.

When I researched further I learned that the US Commerce Association was part of a mass distributed award scheme designed to get companies and websites such as Today’s Woman to pay for “vanity” awards (Phony business awards).

I celebrated Mya’s first birthday today with a cake, treats and presents for her. I know some people think it is crazy to celebrate a dogs birthday, but Mya is part of the family. Sometimes you just have to do things that are over the top.

Well we brought the new addition to the DesRochers family home from the breeder yesterday. We introduced him to Mya, who doesn’t know what to think of him just yet. It was fun watching him chase her around the house. You should see his little legs go.

Speaking of Mya, she has now entered the blogging world.
