“Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith”- Garth Brooks
It’s July 4th and that means a day for Americans away from blogging to enjoy time with family and friends. I almost forgot that today was America’s 232nd Birthday. I would like to extend my wishes for a Happy Fourth of July to my American readership. Did you know that today is also independence from meat day? I guess American vegetarians will be grilling veggie burgers today. Whether you are eating a juicy hamburger, a sausage dog or enjoying your veggie burger I hope you have a wonderful day. Today is also ‘National Country Music Day.’ If there ever was a country song made for the 4th of July, God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood is it.
When it comes to country music, you either love it or you hate it. I happen to love it. In honor of Country Music day I thought I would list just a few of my all time favorite country songs.

Skunks, hedgehogs, foxes, bears, rabbits and daughters- Oh My!
Last night, my daughter hears a noise in the back yard. Hubby goes outside to investigate. Seconds later my children who are standing at the door come running inside to tell me that it is a skunk.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but what about apple cider vinegar? Apple cider vinegar has generated a great deal of discussion recently with some people swearing by it. Fergie revealed in an interview with Glamour Magazine that one of her diet tricks is a shot of apple cider before meals. A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water taken before meals apparently helps you loose weight.

It’s July 1st and Canada is 141 years old. To all my Canadian readers, Happy Canada Day. On Canada Day, July 1, 1980, ‘O Canada’ was proclaimed the National Anthem of Canada. Today many Canadians will proudly sing ‘O Canada’ as we reflect on what it means to be Canadian.

I never knew there were so many bacon products on the market. There is everything from bacon flavored ice cream to bacon art. Who could resist a cup of bacon coffee on a Sunday morning. If you have a sweet tooth for chocolate why settle for a mars bar when you can have a bacon chocolate bar.
Are you getting married this summer? Why not get married in bacon. “What’s that I smell?” “I think it’s the groom.” From the whacky guys who brought us Bacon Flavored Mints, we now have a bacon scented tuxedo.

Tammy brings us a different kind of meme.
“To whom or what do you give your greatest love and why?”
A few days ago a fellow blogger asked me that very question. Tammy said that her greatest love is for herself. When I read her blog post it reminded me of Whitney Houston’s song the “Greatest Love Of All.”
They say that self-love is the greatest love of all. It isn’t always easy for people to love themselves. They say that you have to love yourself before being able to love someone else. True!

Now comes a bed for the paranoid. The Quantum Sleeper — protects from bio-chemical terrorist attacks, kidnappers and other natural disasters. The sleeper is also bulletproof! The bed is also designed to enable you to see out and prevent those outside from seeing in. (Reminds me of panic room)

If you were disgusted by my recent post on Heelarious- high heel shoes for babies then be prepared to get angry as you read this post surrounding the sexualisation of young girls by the fashion industry. You’ll be left asking yourself what is happening to a little girls innocence. It’s getting worse, not better. Child only hair salons, designer clothes by Beyonce for little girls and push up bras for nine year olds all contribute greatly to the sexualisation of little girls.
