Celebrating moms who are in heaven

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day. This was my seventh Mother’s Day without my sweet mother. I visited her grave on Sunday and I couldn’t help but notice how many individuals and families were there, visiting the grave of their Mother.

Rebutting the rebuttal

Miss Bimbo is an online virtual fashion game. It was developed by Blouzar Ltd., London and the subject of a great deal of controversy last year.

If you recall I wrote a blog post (Boycott Miss Bimbo) back in March of 2008 stating that I hoped they closed the website down. I wasn’t the only one. The Women’s Forum Australia condemned the MissBimbo game, calling for the site to be shut down. (Controversial website.)

Well to my surprise a fellow blogger has rebutted my post in one of his recent posts.(Why doesn’t that surprise me?) Maybe he should of blogged about Beckie Jordan, a 23-year-old woman who started a Ban Miss Bimbo group on Facebook.

20th Anniversary at Presquile Provincial Park

You may have noticed my absence. I apologize for not blogging. Things have been more than hectic and I just haven’t had the time to update things here. It is nice to see that some of you are still with me and welcome to my knew readers.

Last week my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. It’s so hard to believe that many years have gone by.

We spent the afternoon at “Presqu’ile Provincial Park.” Presqu’ile Provincial Park is located in the town of Brighton.

The Anniversary of His Death

Last week was the anniversary of my father’s death. My dad passed away 21 years ago.

Sometimes it all feels like a weird dream. The time spent with him in the hospital has a permanent home in my memory. It is like looking an old photograph.

How to add an image to your sidebar in WordPress

I realized today that I have a lot of “how to posts” on this blog regarding Blogger, but very little tutorials for Wordpress.

I was “twittering” last night and a fellow Twitter asked “how to add an image to her sidebar in Wordpress.”

Many Wordpress users use Widgets to customize their side bar. I don’t use widgets. Instead this is how I add an image to my sidebar.

There are some strange products on the market for dogs.

At one time a company called Flat-D Innovations, Inc. was selling a thong for dogs. The thong was designed to make your dogs farts smell better. According to the company website, the product is now discontinued.
