A countdown ticker is a popular way to count down to a special event in your life or to a holiday.  Adding a countdown ticker to your blog is easy.

How to add a countdown ticker in Blogger

• Log into Blogger
• Click on Layout
• Then add a Gadget
• Choose Html/ Javascript widget by clicking the plus (+) sign to add it to your blog.
• Paste in the html code you copied and save the changes.

How to add a countdown ticker to your self hosted WordPress blog

• Click on appearance
• Then theme
• Next click on editor
• Then Header
• Copy the HTML code and paste it into the header of your blog at the very end of all the code. To center the ticker add <p align=”center”> before the code and <p> after the code.

Note: To add a countdown ticker to a wordpress.com blog click on appearance-themes. Choose the text widget and drag it to your sidebar. Go to tickerfactory.com and choose the small option for your ticker. Copy the code and paste it into the text box. Save the changes.
