Blogsvertise- Get paid to write

February 1st, 2010 by Rose DesRochers · 11 Comments

There are numerous ways to make money with a blog. One way is to write reviews for products or services. There are numerous websites online that pay you to write for them. Today we are going to take a look at Blogsvertise.

blogsvertise
How Blogsvertise Works:

You register and submit your blog for approval. Once approved, your blog goes into assignment queue. You are then assigned writing tasks by the administrator. You will be contacted by email whenever they have an assignment for you.

Normally you are required to link to the advertiser’s website three times within your post. You can chose between no follow links, follow links or any links. Your post should be no less than 100 words. You are given five days to complete any assigned tasks. Unlike other paid to write sites you do not have to endorse the product or service. You can also choose any categories you’re not interested in reviewing within your user panel.

Ex: College Tutoring

Blogsvertise requires that your blog be no less than 60 days old and already listed in Google.

I intend to only accept tasks that I feel will fit within my blog.

Payment: Pay for writing assignments varies anywhere from $7 to $12.50, depending on what you set your rate of pay to. Payouts are automatically sent to you 30 days after your entry is approved. Through your user panel you can check your payment status at anytime.

Other ways to make money with Blogsvertise

Blogsvertise also offers three other advertising options for their blog-publishers.

Blog Homepage Banner Ads: These are banner ads that are placed on your sidebar. You are required to run the ad until the advertiser cancels.

Homepage text links ads:
Text link ads are run in the same manner banner ads are run. You are required to add a text link to your sidebar until the advertiser cancels.

Blog Video Ads: With a blog video entry you are required to record a 20 to 30 second video of yourself talking about the advertiser’s website. (This is similar to a commercial.) You are then requested to post the video to Youtube and include it within your blog post along with a written review of the product or service. Blogsvertise pays premium payouts of $20.00 to $40.00 for video ad entries.

Affiliate Program: Blogsvertise also has an affiliate program for publishers. You can earn extra money by referring new advertisers to Blogsvertise. Their referral program pays you 20% of the cost the advertiser you referred spends on advertising.

For example if an advertiser you refer spends $100.00 you will receive $20.00.

The cons of writing for Blogsvertise

Blogsvertise does not always give you writing assignments that fit with the content of your blog. However, you can choose to decline or accept any task assigned to you.

Sometimes they are late with Payment.

Those using WordPress.com are unable to sign up with Blogsvertise.

I made $40.00 my first month writing for Blogsvertise. Remember that the more assignments you do, the more you earn. I personally would not rely on Blogsvertise to make a lot of money, but you can use them along with the other avenues that you use to make money online.

If you run banner ads do you keep getting income from them for just running the ad or is it a click/ purchase kind of income.

What do you think of participating as an exercise to develop your writing skill? Did your income include the banner ad payments?

Ralph, no my income did not include banners as I opt out not to include those. I think blogging in general is a great way to improve ones writing skills.

Oh and I have not forgotten about your email. I will get back to you.

I’ve been a member for quite some time now and I can safely say that I have always been paid what I am owed.

I only have one gripe, and that is I keep getting tasks for less than what I have allocated on any given blog. If I’ve stipulated that I was $20 for a post why would I accept $9?

I don’t really get it. What are they asking you to write? Product reviews?
