How to Create Backlinks through article Submission

January 25th, 2010 by Rose DesRochers · 10 Comments

Article submission is a great way to gain incoming links to your blog.

When you write an article and submit it to an article directory, the directory allows you to include information about yourself and a link to your blog in the resource box.

Webmasters on the look-out for quality content for their websites often use article directories.

Whenever an article is used for content on a website, the resource box must remain intact, therefore when they use one of your reprint articles on their website it creates a link back to your blog.

There are other benefits to submitting to article directories like creating a portfolio of your work, attracting visitors to your blog, boosting your credibility in your niche, etc

Now that you know the benefits of submitting articles to article directories, I want to draw your attention to a brand new article directory- Cyber Media Zone Article Directory.

Cyber Media Zone is an article directory where bloggers can publish their reprint articles.

Why should you submit to Cyber Media Zone?

Because I’m married to the administrator of Cyber Media Zone and am the co-administrator of the directory.

Not a good enough reason?

How about because Cyber Media Zone Article Directory is SEO Friendly?

Because Cyber Media Zone Article Directory is a do-follow directory.

Because the directory is new and needs writers.

Because Shawn is a really nice guy and you’d be doing me a huge favor.

Each article is reviewed before publishing, so be sure to follow the submission guidelines.

You can also help by tweeting this post.

Submit to Cyber Media Zone today.

I think you write well. Some of your posts could be edited for grammar and run on sentences.

I think we grow in our writing though the more we blog.

I have tried article submission but have not been consistent in this area. I think I should look seriously into this area again. I was trying to look for the link to Cyber Media Zone but couldn’t find it.

    Hi Rose!

I’ve been thinking of submitting to article directories for a while now. Though I’m not sure if I or my writing is ready just yet.

One thing I noticed in the “Author Guidelines” (apart from the typo where you’ve spelled “guidelines” as “guidlines”) is that the article content submitted must be unique. Does that mean if I submit an article that it can’t exist on my blog? I can’t simply copy/paste it, but have to rewrite it?

And another question… can I submit the same article to multiple directories? Or is that another show stopper of “unique content”?

    Kind regards,
    Steve.

Steve, thank you for alerting me of the typo. Hubby’s typo this time- not mine.

I also asked him to change the guidelines.

The content does not have to be original- just your own.

You can submit the same article to multiple directories.

As for copying articles from your blog, I don’t recommend this. I suggest rewriting it so that the one on your blog is unique.

Sometimes this just means changing a few paragraphs around, use a different word etc.

Google states “If you syndicate your content on other sites, Google will always show the version we think is most appropriate for users in each given search, which may or may not be the version you’d prefer.”

I’ve been submitting to Ezines for some time now. I’ve had my articles published in newspapers, print newsletters and magazines all because of the exposure I received from Ezines.

Article marketing is a great way to establish authority in your niche.
