I am doing a thing in school where I have to make a list of cliches like you did it is amazing how many cliches there are out there and how you can use them without even knowing it! Some other cliches are: Apple of my eye, cuts like butter, it was a dark and stormy night, I can read you like a book, hopping like a frog and many others that I can't think of right now. You should add these to your list. Like the cliches!
