I hope my readers have a Happy Halloween. If you’re taking the children out trick or treating tonight remember be sure to bundle up, stay in well-lit areas and bring some hand sanitizer along.
Drivers also please be careful of children out and about.
The H1N1 flu is putting quite the scare in Halloween. ( Note my comment regarding bringing hand sanitizer along with you.)
Health officials concerned with H1N1 safety this Halloween have some tips to pass along. (See H1N1 guide for Halloween.)
I can understand why parents are concerned about the H1N1 virus this Halloween.
Will you be handing out candy this Halloween? What’s everyone’s plans for the evening? Shawn, my son and I are going to rent a few movies, sit back and just relax.
Speaking of H1N1 I received my shot yesterday. ( I have sore arm from the shot.) Has anyone else received the H1N1 vaccine? Do you plan on getting your children vaccinated against H1N1?
Have a Spooktacular Halloween.

I think we’re going to let the grandparents take the girls out trick or treating while my husband and I go to a party. Not our usual Halloween! Normally we take the girls around to family members and friends to trick or treat.
I’m really not sure if I’m going to get the girls vaccinated against H1N1. Right now they’re only in school half-time (we have half-day kindergarten here), so they’re not exposed to a whole lot, and they don’t go to day care. At the same time, some parents make their kids go to school when they’re sick, so they’re still going to be exposed to pretty much everything floating around anyway. My husband doesn’t want them vaccinated, but I really don’t want them to get really sick! Hope your Halloween is great, Rose!

Sounds like a great plan to spend with the family. ^^ I didn’t go out either since it’s not a big occasion here. I stayed at home and FINALLY, watched Twilight. I know, I know, why was I so late but it’s better than never.
Not sure about the vaccine either, still waiting for the updates. Hopefully it’s coming soon for the local clinics.

I hope you and yours had a wonderful Halloween, Rose.
We have a shortage of the H1N1 vaccine here in Seattle–it may be December before we are able to get our shots.
Take care!

the h1N1 shot isn’t widely available. I’d get it for the daughter, but less inclined to get for me; older (gulp) people tend to have more antibodies.

I am freakishly OCD about using sanitizer, haven’t had a cold or the flu in some years, strongly recommend it for sure.
I am not sure yet about getting the vaccinations, am a bit skitterish on the idea of those.

Oh cripes, I didn’t even think of that! I’m kind of glad actually, or I might not have taken the kids out. Joe had his first H1N1 shot, but in our area right now they’re only giving them to kids two and older, and to healthcare workers and those with health conditions.
