Sounds the alarms! As of 12:17 PM EST, Twitter is down. When loading the page, the server returns a “HTTP Server Error 503 -No available server to handle this request” message.
Blogs across the web, are already reporting the news.
Twitter hasn’t reported the cause of their down time on Status Twitter yet.
I’m suspecting it may be another denial-of-service attack.
Aug 6th, Twitter and Facebook both suffered service problems due to hacker attacks.
I hope it’s up soon. I’m having “tweet” withdrawals.

When this happened my one of my co-workers was having the same problem. She kept pulling out her phone to tweet and remembered that Twitter was down. I had to laugh at her frustration!
I think I set up a Twitter account ages ago but I don’t think I actually updated it. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I even confirmed it!
