--Black and white television.

--The Beatles, and the HUGE crush i had on Ringo Starr.

--Watching The Ed Sullivan show on t.v. every Sunday nights.

--Penny candy.

--Big, clunky cars.

--Almost every grown up I knew smoked cigarettes.

--Watching the destruction of the Viet Nam war on the evening news.

--When a girl at our high school got sent home for wearing culottes.

--Penny loafers.

--min skirts.

--People making fun of men with long hair.

--People making fun of men with pierced ears wearing earrings.

Hello my friend Rose, I read your posts from Google reader, don't comment often but a true reader no the less. I had to comment on this one because you got me reminiscing on times past.

I remember old country stores and cafe's on the corner.

I remember the first horse my dad bought me to ride around on the farm.

I remember wash hanging on lines and almost everyone you walked past would speak to you in a warm and friendly manner.

I remember at school buying milk and a zero bar for 15 cents.

Don't want to take a lot of space up on your blog but thanks for posting your post and I find myself wishing those days were here right now,,cheers.

I remember drive-ins, pet rocks, eight tracks and vinyl records and candy cigarettes.
I remember watching Bewitched, Batman and later Brady Bunch.
I remember being able to leave the house in the morning and spend all day running around with my friends and my parents didn't have to worry.
I remember having a lemonade stand.
I remember our first color TV, it was a huge console.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Rose.

Oh yes, feels like drifting down the memory lane. I remember waiting everyday for my favourite cartoons to be on TV, and kids shows like sesame street and electric company (.. no wonder Morgan Freeman looked so familiar) =P; my favourite toys; best pals in primary school; had a scary moment hiding behind the couch for Army of Darkness..

Can't believe it has been that long. ^^
