Unfortunately, Rose, I fell prey to this scam from secureloanprocessing.net or .com or whatever else they use. Your in depth research on this group is amazingly well done and well documented through your phone calls, web research, etc.

I am a retired social security recipient on disability with a net income of $1,040 monthly. I received an email promising a overnight loan and like a bozo I gave all of my banking information. I am a retired consultant and well versed (obviously not well enough) in Internet scams. My situation is that I needed an immediate loan for an emergency and this is what I got.

Yesterday this company debited my account at the Bank of America for $99.00 which was not authorized and as soon as the bank is open this morning I intend to report them to the fraud department at the bank. I intend to have this money refunded to me by the bank as is their obligation for fraudulent actions. The bank has always been more than helpful to me in my long time relationship.

I also phoned the number listed on this debit to my account: 888-735-2757 and, of course, got their voice mail stating to call back during regular office hours of 9 to 5 PST. I intend to do this also because the bank will ask if I have contacted the company responsible for the debit and tried to resolve this matter with them before requesting the bank to reverse this debit. I also sent them an email which I will copy to you at your email address if possible.

In this tough recession where many people including senior citizens living on Social Security these vultures are all over the web promising to enable you to use your Social Security benefits to qualify for an overnight loan.

I have no intention of closing my account or changing my account number that I use in so many of my transactions that are all above board. If I receive another debit, I will repeat this process.

Through all of my google efforts you have provided the most comprehensive information enabling people like me who have been duped to have the necessary FTC contacts, the domain owners and more to move forward.

Please use this anyway you care to, Rose. I would like more information on your blog and if you feel I have anything to offer I would be happy to write a blog report on this corrupt industry and no $5.00 would be accepted. Your information is worth at least the $99 I intend to have reversed as soon as the B of A opens at 9 a.m. PST.

Thanks, again, Rose and please continue to be an advocate for consumer's like me who have been duped and cannot afford to lose the little money I live on. I once lived in a million dollar home and had a thriving business. My life now reads like a Dateline NBC story of how you can lose it all. I am not a victim; I am definitely a survivor and I can live on SS and other income I can create in this difficult time. At 66, I have many more good years of making money; I just have to proceed in other creative avenues.

Nicely done and thanks for the props! I have also noticed a huge spike in on-line scams , it's a sort of barometer for socioeconomic pressures...in any case, it's good to point these things out. Keep up the good work!

Nice work and sound advice! Thanks for the the link to 'How Stupid...'
I'd forgotten about Elmer, hahah!

It's been my experience that ALL unsolicited Internet "opportunities" are scams . The best way to make money blogging is to post from work while you are on the clock. Don't let the boss catch you, though!

Great post. There are loads of these "get cash now" website lenders popping up here in Australia too... exorbitant interest rates, preying on people who are down already. Not nice.
I'm debating ditching the few ads I have on my site now... it isn't about making money, not that they are making me any - and I think they just look ugly!!
