Photo Editing Software

If you can’t afford to purchase photo editing software, there are a number of image editing programs available that you can download at no charge. These programs allow you to both create and edit  your images. I compiled a list of just a few of the photo editors out there.

GIMP for Windows- is a popular open-source image editor.

Photoscape- Photoscape is the fun and easy photo editing software that enables you to fix and enhance photos.

PhotoPlus 6 is the perfect choice for editing and enhancing your digital images and photos for print, email and the web.

Pixia - Pixia is a freeware bitmap graphics editor program for Windows, created by Isao Maruoka.

VCW VicMan’s Photo Editor – Powerful and handy free photo editor with intuitive interface.

Ultimate Paint - Ultimate Paint is a full-featured 32-bit Windows graphics program for image creation, viewing and manipulation.

Picasa 3 is a software download from Google that helps you organize, edit, and share your photos.

IrfanView IrfanView is a simple image viewer and editor.

It is nice to know that there is something beyond Adobe Photoshop.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have fun editing your photos.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

Picasa actually has some nice editing capabilities. I’m not sure if they fixed their file tree problem from version 2 (organizing photos was odd, to say the least), but nice program beyond that. GIMP is definitely also a great choice.

Those programmes are great to bear in mind, thanks for pointing them out Rose. We will all need an image editor at some point, not least if we want to create our own wordpress or webpage banners!
