October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to help spread the word about this important cause, bloggers are encouraged to “go pink for October.” Once again, I’m going pink. Every three minutes, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. This year has more significance for me then last year.
A very dear friend of mine was diognosed with breast cancer this year and just a few months ago she had a mastectomy to rid her body of the cancer. We need to find a cure for this terrible disease. Please join me in turning your blog pink for October.

Just thought I would let you know I went pink, too. Not completely, but I think it will catch the eye of a few visitors.
BTW, would love to see you drop by if you haven’t had a chance to lately. I think the blog has come a long way over the past few months and has evolved into a fairly nice little place to visit, even if I say so myself.

Thank you for going pink in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
We are running a series of 12 contests on the Pink for October website throughout October and there are many attractive prizes up for grabs too. There is also a “Share Your Story” segment where you can share a true story, or encourage your friend/family/neighbour/colleague to share theirs.
For more information, please visit the official Pink for October website: http://pinkforoctober.org

Hi Rose,
I also have a dear friend who is a survivor of Breast Cancer. I wish the charity all the very best of luck!
