Pingoat.com, a service that pings various websites when your blog is updated, has been offline for over a month now. When you go to pingoat.com you are greeted with a blank white page that says they are currently doing system maintenance. I didn’t notice this before, because Wordpress pings various services for me. Wordpress users can modify their ping list on the Control Panel, then Options, then Writing.
Before I started using Pingoat I used to use Pingomatic.com.
ping.in offers a similar service to that offered by Pingoat.
What ping service do you use?

I don’t use any ping service currently. I get so little traffic from searches anyway I’m not sure it would be that beneficial.
Hmmm. Perhaps I could improve that by pinging some of those services, lol.

I only ping on Technorati—until this post had never heard of these people. A month to do site maintenance sounds excessive?

I don’t even know what that is or how it is useful. I’m not very blog bright. I just type hoping that someone who wants a laugh will stumble on to my site and giggle!

Actually yes…Pingoat showed up yesterday for me, though I had almost ceased to check it so I don’t really know when it came back….but nonetheless, I’m glad it’s back.
