Gallbladder attack- There is a stone in my stomach

August 1st, 2008 by Rose DesRochers · 12 Comments

It has been a few days since I updated. I’m still here. I don’t have much time to update right now, but I’ll try to post when I can. For the last couple of months every now and then I have had an occasional shooting brief pain just above my belly button. It stays for a few secs to a min. I went to the doctor last week to get her opinion. She has sent me for a number of ultrasounds to see if I have a stone garden in my gallbladder or just the one gallstone that they found last year.

She’s referring me to a gallbladder specialist. I’ll keep you all updated on how it goes. I thought today’s pain was way worse than labor pains. The pain was so bad hubby told me to try some Lamaze breathing. The whole “ho-ho-he-he” or was it “he-he-ho-ho.” Who cares!

I’m in pain here!

I’m just wondering if anyone out there has suffered a gall bladder attack and what is was like for you?

I received some other bad news last week regarding my health, but I am not ready to share that with the blogophere just yet.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

In 2005 I had some horrific, sharp, lacerating pains ripping across my waist and across my back. I ended up on the floor, on all fours, rocking back and forth. I yelled “Get me the RUM”!!!! I’m not a drinker. So Joe knew I was in trouble. It passed after about 40 minutes.

I went to work the next day and I could have sworn that I was wearing suspenders, cuz that’s where the pain HIT and HIT HARD. Up and down the front, up and down the back, and all AROUND the chest. I figured it was a heart attack.

Nope. A three centimeter stone THE EXACT SIZE OF MY GALLBLADDER.

My gall bladder exploded, so they couldn’t do the laparoscopic surgery. I went into pancreatitis and was hospitalized for one week BEFORE they could operate!!!

    Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It’s your gallbladder dear. Nothing hurts like it, except for a heart attack (I assume)

I have not had a gall bladder problem, but I can report that todays resolution of gall stones is not all that bad, they do it with ultra sound which makes it much less invasive surgery wise. I hope that gives ya something to cheer about. Get well soon dudette

I’ve never had a gall bladder attack , but my mom did about twenty years ago. She said it reminded her of the 36 hours of labor she went through when she was pregnant with my brother.

Take care and be well. I hope you get better soon.

Have it removed, it’s a useless organ. Hope everything else is OK

Oh dear, hope you’re feeling better soon :)

My boss had that, she said it was very painful…they ended up removing the gallbladder and she recovered well. She said the operation & recovery was nothing compared to the pain before hand.

Hope you’re okay! I’m thinking of you! :)
