Her Fight with Breast Cancer

July 2nd, 2008 by Rose DesRochers · 6 Comments

As some of you know a friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. Today she had a successful mastectomy. The doctor said her surgery went very well.

I’m going to go up this evening to see her at the hospital. I just wanted to thank everyone who has had her in your thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for her and her family.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

Visiting friends or family when they are in a Hospital is not fun—-its emotionally straining, always an inconvience, and waay to easily put aside and not done, or a variety of excuses—my hats off and my applause to those that grit their teeth and visit those in hospitals and pay the dues of good friendship—–I am very glad your friend’s operation went well and that she has a good prognosis.

I thought I had left a comment here yesterday—but perhaps I made it elsewhere in our communiques—In any case again wish to say your friend is very fortunate to have a friend like you Rose. Visiting people in the hospital is not pleasant to do, and something many people would put off doing, sending flowers or maybe a phone call instead—you have my respect and admiration for visiting your friend IN the hospital. glad to hear her operaton went well and that her prognosis for recovery is good.

    Gary

Gary, my spam filter keeps catching your message. What kind of person would think it was an inconvenience? I never made it back to the hospital last night as she wasn’t up to visitors, which is understandable so I haven’t seen her yet. I’m going to give her a few days to rest and then visit.

    Thank you Tammy.
