There is a knew brand of high heeled shoes on the market. Heelarious, are high heeled shoes designed specifically for babies. You read that right, babies! Your eyes are not deceiving you! When I first saw these shoes I thought how stupid, another adult fashion for little girls, but this time baby girls.
First pimpfants now Heelarious.
I wonder how far we will go before cute just isn’t cute anymore? What next? Thongs for babies!
There is already some controversy over at Dr. Deb’s blog concerning the shoes designed by mothers Britta Bacon and Hayden Porter.
Some mother’s feel that the shoes are another product sexualizing our girls. After all high heels are considered sexy.
Britta Bacon states on her website that she came up with the idea for the shoes while walking to her daughter Kayla’s 4th birthday party. She further states, “That would have been hilarious if I could have brought Kayla to a party in high heels when she was a baby. It was at that moment that Heelarious was born.”
Heelarious website Heelarious.com notes, “Not intended for walking (heel will collapse with weight).” ( Heelarious are intended for babies 0-6 months. What baby walks at this age?)

These shoes are $35.00. In my opinion thats a lot to pay for a pair of high heels for baby.
What do you think of Heelarious? Disgusting or a cute harmless product?
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

That’s outrageous… Even though the heel will collapse under weight, the whole idea of kids that young having heels put on them is just wrong.
Personally, I don’t think that anyone should wear high heels.
(Disclaimer: Of course my opinion is not from personal experience, but rather from what my wife has told me about the discomfort of heels and what long term use can do to one’s back.)

*shakes head*
I have enough trouble keeping my mouth shut when I see little girls with makeup on. High heel shoes for babies is ridiculous, even if the heels do collapse.

whats wrong with this??—like hello, dress em like little sluts, and then pretend your really surprised when some sicko molests them?? I’m sorry this kinda just makes me sick in my stomach. I see nothing humorous about doing this to little children, the parents should be whipped and publicly flogged in my book.

Hi Rose. I read about this somewhere the other day. It is crazy. I hate to see little girls all made up.

The old crude saying “Women should be born with high-heels on’ is around for a reason. Men find them attractive and sexy. Now, put these on a baby, and what will you do? Turn on the molesters…sick!
This is someone trying to make a buck with shock and awe at the expense of your children. There’s nothing worthy of these shoes one bit.

After reading a bit of their website, I’ve come to the conclusion that the two women responsible for this don’t understand the underlying meaning and are just taking the idea for what it is at face value; an attention-getter and conversation piece. I don’t think they care whether what’s being said is good or bad, attention is attention. It’s all very sad, and kind of pathetic. The type of person to willingly pay that amount of money for a novelty like this will some day wonder why their children have grown up faster than they were meant to, because all of this is just harmless fun, right? Wrong.
