I want to take a moment to wish all of the fathers out there a Happy Father’s Day. For those of you who will be spending qualified time with your dad today, there will be those of us who will be reflecting on the precious memories of times spent with our father.

Daddy you are missed and forever in my heart.
“Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever.” -Author Unknown
I lost my father twenty years ago to cancer. This is my twentieth Father’s Day without him and I still miss him as much today as I did when he first passed away. My thoughts are with all of you who are spending Father’s Day without your Dad. May your memories be fond and ever lasting.
My thoughts are also with all those who grew up without a dad or did not have fond childhood memories of your father. For each of you I wish inner peace.
The Greatest Man I Never Knew by Reba McEntire reminds me of my own father. This is how I grew up, with the greatest man I really never knew. My father didn’t always tell me he loved me, but it showed in everything that he did for me. I was fortunate to have a father who loved me with all his heart. He was taken from me too soon.
I’ll be celebrating Father’s day today with a wonderful father, dear husband and my best friend. My father gave me life. My husband keeps me alive.

Happy Father’s Day Shawn.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You were so young! While it’s heartbreaking to loose a close family member anytime, it seems even worse when it’s something as prolonged as cancer.
At the same time I’m very happy for you because you found the man who seems to suit you perfectly. Does that make any sense?
I hope you all have a wonderful father’s day. Hopefully the weather will be nicer for you than it has been for us!

Dear Rose, I am so sorry for your loss, no matter how long it has been. It doesn’t matter how old they were or how long we have them, it is never long enough. This day is hard for me because I can not share it with my dad. But I will always be able to share the many kindnesses and love he shared with me. Peace be with you my very dear friend. becky

I love this post! I’ve lost my dad to cancer too. That was more than 5 years ago. It was really so sad for me cause I was a papa’s girl. But I’m also thankful that God has gave me a wonderful father-in-law who has accepted me like his own daughter.

Thanks for visiting my blog. It’s great that you have happy memories that you can remember your dad on Father’s Day. I have a hard time on Mother’s Day since my mom passed 14 yrs ago..it still hurts and I think it always will.

I hope everyone found peace, love and comfort… somewhere, somehow on Father’s Day. My first without my precious Dad. My sister’s 23 year old daughter called HER Sunday to wish HER a Happy Father’s Day, since she has been both mother and father to her due to divorce 20 years ago and an absent (hidden) biological father! Way to go, Katie!
Much Love!
