Thank you for all the kind wishes for my birthday that were left here and via e-mails; they are really appreciated. Thank you to Bob for the coffee.
I had a very nice birthday. Hubby and the children took me out for dinner.
We rented Grace Is Gone staring John Cusack. This movie has received some wonderful reviews, but it didn’t have as much emotion as I thought the movie would have had. I was really disappointed with it.
We later rented Untraceable and that was excellent. I recommend renting it if you like thrillers.
As you know I love bears. My son got me two boyds bear figurines to add to my collection of bears.

Boyds Bears K.T. Shouldaknown I am My Mother After All

“Safe in Momma’s Arms”
Hubby and my daughter bought me a Home Studio Montana 5-Shelf Bookcase to hold all the knew bears I get.

Would you look at all the balloons my darling daughter got me.

Look closely! Those are gold candles on my cake. There was so much smoke I thought it was going to set off the smoke detectors.
All in all it was a great day. Now I’m just counting down those days to the big 4-0.
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

On a clear day, I can remember my 39th year—I had grown uptight and bored with life in southern california—tired of the 40 work week, followed by the almost non -stop weekend bar hoppings (wasn’t unusual to put on 15o miles on the speedometer each weekend just making all the bar scenes—waking up back home again and not remembering driving home—spooky . So fled So. Calif and moved to Colorado Springs , promotion, 4-day work week—-and not anywhere close to the number of bars needing my attention.

My mom always told me that 40 was nothing because you could still pretend to be in your 30s. 41 was harder because you really couldn’t pretend anymore. You were in your 40s whether you were ready or not.
I think age is just a state of mind, and it can change on a daily basis.
I’m looking forward to being 30 (by then my girls will be 9 and much less dependent on me for everything), and dreading it at the same time (my girls will no longer be the cute little 4 year old ‘babies’ they are now). Hopefully I’ll have more patience with them by the time I’m 30!
I’m glad it was a good day for you, Rose.
