I just couldn’t wait to share this news. This post is going to sound like a braggy mom and that’s because right at this very moment I am.
My son is graduating from grade eight next month. He will be headed for high-school in September. He just came home from school and informed me that on June 24th he will be valedictorian for his graduating class.
You should of seen me jumping up and down.
I’m so happy and I’m so proud of him. I’m looking very forward to hearing him give his grade 8 Valedictorian speech. I know that he will do a fantastic job as valedictorian.
Congratulations Mr. D! I am so very proud of you.

Sounds to me your raising some smart kid, worthy of blog mention and bragging about. Whats interesting to this old dude is—I thought middle school was grades 6 through 9, , with Highschool starting at grade 10??—in MY era we had junior hs’s, with High school beginning at grade 9—and I have no idea what the new math is all about, or has THAT to come and gone?
