I bought a case of Nestle Pure Life water last week. Yesterday I was drinking a bottle and thought this tastes like tap water. I decided to call the 1-800 number that Nestle puts on the bottle and ask a rep if their bottled water comes from a spring. One of Nestle service reps confirmed that their bottle water was indeed spring water that comes from Aberfoyle Springs.
It still taste like tap water to me. Those in the US, unfortunately get tap water with Nestle Pure Life. A 2007, Associated Press article read “Pure Life is the only Nestle bottled water that uses public water. Well that’s interesting.
Canadians get bottle spring water that tastes like tap water and Americans get bottled tap water with added minerals.
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

I also drink well water filtered through a Pur filter. I feel a little better about not contributing to excess bottles being thrown out. I just use my own.

I understand that a great deal of bottled water is tap water. There was conversation about using Albany, NY water, which in fact is not bad.

Use tap water everytime – and help protect the planet !!!- I am highly against the bottled water industry – mostly the water is of a lower standard than what comes out the taps and it contributes greatly to the litter and pollution (manufacturing all those plastic bottles) and then landfill!! Try living in Portugal where plastic water bottles are the number one litter offender, in the countryside, the cities and at the beaches. Gross – and totally unnecessary. Here a glass of wine is cheaper than buying bottled water! I go with the wine every time

They speak the truth in fact, I used to purchase water for retail from the company that originally owned it. The water was actually called Aberfoyle water and when the Nestle company purchased it they re-branded it to Nestle pure life. If you want to get away from the tap water flavor they also sell a wide variety of flavored water also from the Aberfoyle springs. Your local Zellers would have that for you and it’s on sale this week 2/$5.

I too use filtered tap water.whenever I’m at home. Otherwise, it’s bottled for me.
I also posted a link to this post on my weight loss blog (URL is above) as my readers there would probably find this interesting reading to say the least as I did.

Rose, I certainly do agree that Nestles’ Pure Life water tastes just like tap water. For many years I had bought Aberfoyle water and enjoyed the taste so much. Then one day, I went to purchase some and found the name Nestle was added to the label. Eventually, Aberfoyle was completely removed and the water no longer had the taste of Artesian water. I stopped buying it.
