A Sunday Drive - Signs of Spring in Photos

April 15th, 2008 by Rose DesRochers · 8 Comments

Sunday afternoon Shawn, my son and I went for a long Country drive. There is nothing better than just getting in the van and driving. We headed to Wellington, Ont. Wellington’s population is roughly 1700.

This photo was taken in Wellington. Where did my son go?

Riding Stable

This picture was taken in front of a riding stable in Audbry.

You looking at me?

A trip to the country isn’t complete without seeing cows.

Running Horses

Here we stopped along the side of the road to take some photos of the horses.

Making Horse Friends

The horse were so friendly that they came right over to the fence.

Ahh nothing like a drive in the country. Take time out to enjoy life’s pleasures.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

Sounds like Wellington is a bit larger than the town that’s nearest to us.

A drive in the country can be quite enjoyable. Of course living in the country, just about every drive we take is, at least in part, in the country. My drive to work , except for the little bit it takes to get through the little town, is a country drive. I don’t often appreciate it as I should, especially since there is no rush hour traffic or traffic jams, except during plant refueling outages, when there are lots of short term contract workers going to the plant.

Well, gotta go to work. I’ll try to enjoy my country commute today, even though it’s a short one — only 20 minutes.

I miss drives through the country! Nothings more relaxing then going out into the middle of nowhere and just…sitting and enjoying.

I miss the country. I live in a town and no nice views like that! You are soooo lucky. I see concrete. Lots and lots of concrete.

Teena, Wellington is a 2.0 hours 23 minutes drive from Toronto. It is located in Prince Edward County.

Sy… I live in the city. We just take a drive to the country. lol

Seamus no snow, but we have lots of water around here. ;-)

Mike I hope you enjoyed that 20 minutes.

    Sugar, you bet.

I’ve been stuck in NYC for months. Cities can become prisons. BUT if you have central park as I do… I shouldn’t complain.
