Earth Hour was created by The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Today, March 29, 2008 Earth hour is inviting people from around the world to turn off their lights between 8- 9 pm in an effort to help save our planet.
Google’s even joined the cause and is encouraging people to turn off the lights. Tonight at 8:00 pm I’ll be taking part in Earth hour. Join WWF’s Earth Hour today and invite your family and friends to turn out the lights from 8-9pm (in your time zone). Support the cause.

My family is taking part right now; they live in Oklahoma. It’s 6:23 pm in Seattle right now, and I’m going to meditate between 8-9.
Thanks for the reminder.

Me and my wife just spent 30+ hours in the bedroom. Just a table lamp on. Does that count? Oh, and I delivered kittens. That was fun. I finally got to find out which cat got her preggers when she escaped while on heat! naughty ginger cat…

I posted it tonight once I read about it, then turned off the lights at 8:00, but my husband has either a slight case of food poisoning or the stomach flu — so I ended up having to turn them back on, but they were off a while! But, he is now feeling good enough to sit up and watch a movie!
Hope all is well with y’all.

I was In the car driving literally all night, and I forgot to keep a light on In the house, so I guess I took part without realizing ><
I do remember something like this a few times In the past and I think they should make It an all day thing, It’s really not hard to just go hiking for a day

Sy I don’t want to know why you spent 30 hours in the bedroom. LOL
Sugar we sat around the table with relatives drinking coffee by candle light. We turned off all power.
Marcia sorry to hear that.
Wonderful Beth!

Unfortunately the 30 hours was all kitten delivering and laying with Charlie the cat as everytime I left the room she called for me to come back… But I have some awesome pictures of hours old kittens!!

We turned everything off in the house - at the mains so no freezer, digital clocks, etc nothing on! Lit a load of candles and watched the view over Lisbon Oriente station to see if anything else went off - but couldn’t see anyone else turn their lights off - it was a blaze of lights as usual. Kids loved it at first but then got bored after about 10 mins - hey ho!
