Friend has Breast Cancer

March 25th, 2008 by Rose DesRochers · 7 Comments

I received some really devastating news on Monday. A friend of mine has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was shocked. She went from being a healthy mom of two little boys to a cancer patient. She also just had her second child last April, bought a new home, return to work and now this.

She seems positive and plans to take things one day at a time. She told us that she is ready for a fight and she will be in my prayers daily. I would just like to ask all you to keep her in your prayers. I urge every women ready this to do your self examines and go for your scheduled mammograms. Don’t put it off. I will be going next week for mine.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

It is amazing how quickly life can change. It sounds like she has the right attitude and that will go a long way toward recovery. Will certainly keep her in my thoughts!

Ah geez. It is one of the few words that no one wants to hear in there life, and one that everyone hears at some point or another. But there are wonders in medicine these days, and with the right mindset, she will hopefully be able to carry on without too much disruption to her life. Having lived with someone who lost that battle, I know how hard that can be, but it can be done.

My prayers go out to your friend! She is a courageous woman to take it in her stride! I’ve known many who have battled against it! She will come through! God Bless !

I know of several survivors and thrivers of breast cancer, a co-worker, mentor, and my mom. Your friend sounds like she’s also a fighter and I will keep her in my prayers!!
