For Pete’s sake. I have used that phrase before, but I say for crying out loud more often.
Today is “For Pete’s Sake Day.” Now what I want to know is who’s Pete? What should I do or not do for his sake? According to sources, for Pete’s sake is most likely a reference to the catholic Saint Peter. Perhaps, but I want to know do we have a for heaven’s sake day too, how about a for crying out loud day?
By the way tomorrow February 27th, 2008 is inconvenience yourself day. ( Don’t I do that every day?) (I’ll blog about that more tomorrow.)
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

As in St. Peter. There’s a big long story behind that phrase which i won’t bore you with.
my mother used to say, “oh my shattered nerves”, usually when she saw me coming.

It depends whose company I’m in. In adult company it generally comes out as “For F**k’s sake”, when my daughter is around it is “For God’s sake”. Not that I believe in God or anything, but that’s a totally different matter.

Or could we have an “inconvenient shit day” to mix Shawn’s suggestion to the inconvenience yourself day?

I think we should have all these days, but I figure we should actually get a day off as well, my Mother used to say, “your getting on my nerves” never understood that phrase, I always wondered how I could get on someones nerves
