It’s not every day you get to meet The Slede Dogs. No I’m not talking about the group of dogs used to pull sleighs. I’m referring to the Canadian band the sleddogs from Kelowna, British Columbia. My son and I recently saw them perform their rocking version of “Frosty the Snowman” as well as some other great songs at a benefit concert in support of the Quinte Children’s Foundation. My son got to shake hands with Eric Funk drummer of Sleddogs.
The holiday special included performances from first Canadian Idol Ryan Malcolm of Low Level Flight, Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender Johnny Bower and Roz Bell as well. Johnny Bower sang his 1965 hit song “Honky the Christmas Goose.”
You might know Roz Bell from his first single, “Yesterday Man”, which he performed as well as his recent single Papercut. Roz Bell has a really unique voice.
All in all it was a great night out.
Pick up a copy of Urgency by Low Level Flight , Take Me Away by Sleddogs
and Sunbeams by Roz Bell
today.

Special thank you to Kathy Lynn of Mountain Edge Productions (Manager of Sleddogs) for permission to use the photo.
