In 603 days, 22 hours, 52 minutes I’ll be 40. Not that I’m counting. 40 is not old, therefore I was shocked when someone who is 22 call me old.
I have been called a lot of things, but old was never one of them until now that is.
Someone stumbled my ‘Anonymous Internet Harassment Federal Crime‘ post. Upon reading the reviews I saw a comment that read “I really don’t care about old women complaining about being “harassed”. Wait a moment. Back up! Who is this young guy calling old?
I asked him who the heck he was calling old and his reply was “Yes, that was directed at you and the commenters on your site. I’m 22, you’re 38. That makes you old in my book.”
I’m far from being old. Now a days most women are just starting to have children and I happen to have a daughter who is 17 1/2 and a son who is 14.
My own children don’t even think I’m old though they may joke about it from time to time.
38 is not old people and I still look great!
I’m curious though, at what age do you consider someone to be old?
Be honest now! I can take it.
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

Rose, I am 40 in a few weeks time but I dont feel much different to when I was 20. Saying that when you’re 20, 30 seems old, and when you’re 30, 40 seems old. I believe its not how old you are but how you feel.

I think “old” is more a state of mind than a state of being. There’s a lot of truth to the phrase “You’re only as old as you feel.”
I’ve been seventeen for a very long time now.

Well, you’re young to me (and yes, since you brought it up), good looking. Old is 20-30 years older than you are.

40 is far from old in todays society, hell you can’t retire until you turn 65.
Rose my dear you are far from getting OLD’ I should know I have seen and enjoyed your marvelous body for the last 18 years!

Shaun, that’s not entirely true about having to be 55 to retire. I’m 55 and I retired earlier this year.
Rose, I left a stumble review for that page refuting the the earlier review.
At 55, most of the time, I feel the same as I did when I was a lot younger. There are a few more aches and pains, but I don’t feel old.

Hi Rose,
What about all of that talk that “40 is the new 20″? I really believe it’s all in how you think….there are people who are old and cranky at 25 and people who are young and fun at 50. What’s the difference? How you think and what you believe. Of course doing the 5 Rites each day doesn’t hurt, either.

Well some people are just idiots.40 is not old and you sure are not old by any means. This snot nose 22 year old acts like he’s more like 12 than 22.
