I was recently asked how often you should update your blog. there is no real answer to how often you should update your blog, some bloggers publish 2-3 posts everyday. Others publish just one post a week. I post 1-2 times a day myself.
Well known blogger Darren Rowse says it’s better to post when you feel like it and have a topic worthy of posting than to post on a schedule. Lorelle VanFossen another successful blogger posts 1-2 posts a day.
Different people will have different perspectives on how often you should post. My advice is to post at least three to four times a week, but don’t blog for the sake of blogging. Be sure that you have something worthwhile to blog about. Remember that quality content is important and if you’re like me and can come up with something to blog about everyday then post away.
How often do you update your blog?
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

I don’t fault people for posting too much. If there is a headline I don’t like, I just don’t read the article. On the other hand, when I go through my list of blogs and see that one doesn’t update in a while I feel like they don’t care.
That’s just my personal feel.

I update my advice blog whenever someone writes me, but with another blog I have, I update it 2 to 3 times a week.

I try to post daily, but sometimes I just can’t do it. However, I’m finding that writing on various topics is something that I’m starting to enjoy more and more, so it is becoming easier to make the time to do it – and just let something else slide.

I try to post every day. But if there’s nothing to post about, I don’t.

Hmmm… I wonder if you could write a post about keeping an audience for a blog? Do meme’s help, or not?
Its easier for me to come up with content for my biography blog than my regular blog. I’ve struggled to keep a blog that presents a myriad of topics.

Funny that you wrote about this topic as I just posted about the “blogging rule” that you should not force a post just to make a post for that day.
While I try to get a post out every day of the week and as time permits on the weekends, I do my best not to force anything if I just don’t have something for that day.

I post at least once a day. Then when I feel like I’m in my writing mode, I write and write then save it for the rainy days — when I don’t have anything on my mind.

I simply CAN’T post more than once a day, but I ALWAYS post once a day. The piece I did for tomorrow took FOREVER.

I will try to update mine as often as possible. I really don’t think it should be left a whole week without a post though as it would stop people checking back.
If possible, I think posting atleast once a day (maybe missing weekends) is the best solution.
