Monday already? This week went by fast and somewhere I lost a day. I think I lost Friday. If you find it, please return it to me. I totally missed taking part in last weeks Funny Monday. I can so relate to the guy who received the telemarketers call! I know they are just doing their job by calling and trying to solicit sales for the company – but I do enjoy giving them a blast of sh$t for calling me when I have an unlisted number that I pay extra for and they say I was on their list!
The key to sales – don’t bullsh$t! Be honest and upfront from the going, I may still blast them for disturbing me because its so much fun, but they may find it leads to more sales…

I just gave the cold shoulder 15mins ago to some guy trying to sell me a subscription to the Canadian Legion Paper, trying to cut into my blogging time.

Actually, unless you worked in a telemarketing environment, you have no idea. You ARE on there list, because the lists are purchased from what you think are reputable calls. Example, when you get a phone call for a survey on whether or not you plan to buy a new car in the future for instance, they are actually asking you questions you wouldn’t suspect. These questions give them “leads” that they can then sell to marketing companies. What p*sses me off most is when a customer says, “Why don’t you get a real job”…these are the same customers that are sitting on their *sses with no job and don’t even qualify for what is being offered. So next time you get one, and you don’t want it…simply say, “Take me off your list” .. That will save you and the poor rep on the other time a lot of stress.

You know what? That video just made me feel very sad. What a horrible job. I may not ever buy from telemarketers but I’m always kind to them. Sometimes you’ve just got to do whatever lousy job is available to keep body and soul together.

Shucks, the video was suppose to be funny. It was not meant to make anyone feel sad or to judge the job of a telemarketer. I thought the way the person kept changing his voice was hysterical. It does make you feel sorry for them doesn’t it?
