Yesterday was a very special day and I wanted to share this yesterday, but I was busy celebrating and thanking God for the miracle of life that many of us take for granted.
Seventeen years ago July 5 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. After delivery I was told that she and I almost didn’t make it. I had pregnancy complications. The placenta was coming away from the wall and I was experiencing heavy bleeding and my daughter was becoming distressed.
Thankfully she was delivered and my daughter has now grown into a beautiful young woman. Placental abruption, is a devastating disorder and I thank God that my daughter and I are both alive today to enjoy the beauty of life.
Life really is beautiful and each of us should enjoy our existence.
I’ve watched my daughter grow from a baby to a beautiful young woman who I could not be prouder of. My daughter truly is a gift that God has blessed me with. The birth of my daughter has brought me so many mixed emotions from fear to complete happiness. I can not imagine life without her. I don’t think she even understands the depth of my love. There is a depth beyond feeling. A special love that only a mother knows.
Yesterday not only did I delight in celebrating my daughter’s 17 birthday with her I delighted in celebrating the miracle of life.
To my precious daughter, please remember that wherever you go in life, there I am right there by your side. Always remember, I love you. Happy 17th Birthday.

So true Rose, many people take the little things in life for granted!
Our daughter who is 17 now has grown up so fast that its hard to believe where the time went.
I remember all the exciting stages, from teething to the growing pains and the heart aches she has faced already on her journey of becoming a young adult.
These are memories we will share and hang on to for a life time!
She definitely has made us extremely proud! She’s almost at the stage of graduating from high school, works full time and does it all with pride and great charisma. We truly have been blessed as she doesn’t drink nor does she mess around with drugs!
So we must have done something right!
We love you “Misspink”, and happy 17th birthday sweetie!

Rose, a lovely post on your daughter and your love for her. Happy Birthday to her!
Twenty-nine years ago Feb 7th, my placenta separated but, not nearly so severely, though they thought they would have to do a C-section. It was scary. I had a taste of what you experienced. I’m glad it turned out OK.

Every day my daughter amazes me: she grows and developes and fills the space around her completely and utterly. I look at her and can scarcely believe that my little contribution wrought this fantastically unique individual. I’m so pleased and surprised by and proud of the person she is and so profoundly grateful that she is a part of my life. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. We’re so very blessed.
Way to go us!
