Goals: Setting Them & Staying Motivated

March 28th, 2007 by Rose DesRochers · 6 Comments

Setting goals is easy. It is the following through that is the hard part. I know a number of people who set goals for themselves, but they never manage to follow through.

I have been administrating the same community for four years now. It can get tiring doing the same thing day in and day out, but it takes commitment if you really want results.

Everyone wants success in their life, but in order to accomplish success you have to work hard to see results. Being fully committed to something means that there are no excuses.

We all get burnt out and when that happens, find someone in your life that can get you back on track. It is not always easy to stay motivated, but with a positive attitude, dedication and a support group you will reach your goals.

When I see how far I have come with my community it helps me stay motivated. I also take a step away from time to time. We all need a little time out for fun. When you work hard and dedicate yourself, you will see successful. I hope that all made sense.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by concentrating on things that I enjoy doing…it’s easier to keep going that way. On the occasion I have to do something I don’t want to do I can fall back on a lifetime of good work ethics to get me through and know that the sonner I get going, the sonner the job gets done.

Hey Rose, in honor of your kind words about liking my name, I have something for you on my Thursday Thirteen post on my blog. Look for the “Molly Rose” part of the post.

I have a photo of my little girl that I keep in my wallet. When things get stressful and I am not aroung her, I take it out and look at it for a sec. She keeps me on the right track. I will admit that a few months ago I lost my motivation. But now there is a new road ahead.

This is very true. Goals are easy to make, but hard to keep. I have been trying to set goals to keep too; anything worth having takes a lot of work like the wonderful work you do on the site. You lead by example and are an inspiration. ((HUGS))

The biggest inspiration could be, when you look back at yourself and say hey, ure much better than that.. now get back on your ass and finish it right..
