Friday Feast: Feed Your Mind

March 2nd, 2007 by Rose DesRochers · 18 Comments

It’s Friday and I’m in a lot of pain. I’m not sure what is wrong, but the lower part of my right leg is really hurting.  Anyway, once again it is time for the Friday Feast.

Appetizer: What does the color pink make you think of?

Pink is such a soft and pretty color. When I think of pink, I think of my daughter Miss Pink.

Soup: Name something you thought you had lost, but later found.

When my younger daughter Katie died I lost all faith in God. I didn’t think I would ever have faith again and then when my Mother took ill, I found God again and realized that he didn’t desert me. He had been  there all along.

Salad: In 3 words, describe this past week.

Stressful, Troublesome, Chaos

Main Course: What are you obsessed with?

I asked my husband what I was obessed with and he replied sex, so there is your answer. I don’t hear him conplaining. “Laugh” I was thinking that maybe I obsess a little too much over my weight and looks. I’m not always happy with the way I look.

Dessert:What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear?

White silk and Taboo. I really like Vanderbilt too.

Have a great weekend everyone.

If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

Wow Rose…I don’t know your history, so I’m so sorry for the loss of your youngest daughter. How beautiful to have come back to your faith, there seems to be a lovely story of redemption there.

My husband would’ve LOVED me to post “sex” for an answer for the main course, lol. I didn’t think to ask him, but he probably would’ve said “blogging”… For the record, that’s not what I put.

Hope this is a better week for you, and that your leg feels MUCH better…SOON! Thanks for writing and encouraging me last week (during MY first FF) :) .

Hi Rose. Your soup touched my heart. I’m sorry about Katie. I could imagine how difficult it was for you. I’m glad that you found your way to God. Life is hard to understand at times but I believe God is always there guiding us.

Sorry to hear about your past week. Hope you’ll have a brand new and stress-free week ahead.

    Take care.

Your soup is very touching, and I’m glad you have found your faith again.

The main course I can relate to, especially the second part of it, I’m really struggling with age and body issues (I’ll be 38 in 42 days!).

Rose, you made me laugh on this one today. Enjoy your sex life!

I hope you get to feeling better soon…sorry to hear you’re in pain right now.

Do you have a story written on how you lost your daughter? If so, I would be interested in reading it. I am so very sorry that happend to you all. Life really does get tedious at times.

    Wishing you the best!

Funny thing about God, isn’t it? He’s always in the wings, ready to help us out. Sorry about your daughter. You must miss her.

I hope your leg feels better!

I can relate to your soup. It is wonderful to see how you found out that God is always there.
Ouch! Do you have any lower back pain? Maybe a pinched nerve.
I hope your leg feels better. Maybe soaking it in a nice Hot bath.
    Thankyou for the delicous feast.
    Have a great weekend, Rose.

I would not have the courage to say I was obsessed with sex! Yet that’s a wonderful thing for a wife and husband to be obsessed with!

Thank you for that gift of remembering that sex is a gift from God, one that’s meant to be enjoyed.

Your main course is funny. Nito (my hubby) would love it if that was my obsession. Your soup is touching and I am glad you have found your faith again – for some it is the only thing they have. I hope you let gets better. Have a wonderful weekend.

Sorry to hear of your losses. I can’t imagine. I know what you mean about the second part of your main course. I always think I look hideous and my husband tells me I’d look beautiful even in a sackcloth!
