Rose and Shawn,

The tragedy that your family had to go thru is heartbreaking. And my thoughts are with you. I cannot say that I have never lost a child. It was only in different circumstances. I never got to see mine or hold mine. I do not know whether it was a male or a female. I just know that it was mine. It was alive, and it was taken away. That was 21 years ago and I still think about it all the time.
I have a six year old daughter now, she is the most precious thing to me in this whole world. I love her with all of my heart. I never want to lose her.
Sometimes our loved ones leave this world before we do. But one day when my time on earth is over, I shall see that child, that I have never seen before. And I know in my heart that I shall walk hand in hand with my family in heaven.
May God be with you during the holidays. And in your hearts, Katie's candle shall shine, till you shall meet again.

I shall light a candle for your daughter Rose, and for all the children who died before they could live. I hope many will join you in remembering.
