“State Representative Vicki Truitt has introduced a bill for the next legislature that would subject bloggers to the same libel laws as major media outlets.”
State Representative Vicki Truitt Introduces Blogger Libel Bill
Defamation can occur in all sections of the internet. Some individuals will do anything they can think of to ruin a business, website or internet users reputation, from harassment to defamation of character.
These blogs can often be seen first when a business or website owners name is searched for in search engines. Many of these attacks are started by jealous website competitors, ex-members or trolls.
Recently I have witnessed a frustration coming from several bloggers using Blogspot for publishing of their blogs that blogger does nothing in regards to threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, hateful blogs published at Blogger.
Just recently someone commented on my blog in regards to Parents Against Predators Act - P.A.P.A. I decided not to publish the comment.
Because I chose to reject the comment the individual whom I do not know decided to start a blog on Blogger that is a satire/ parody spoof of my blog.
Should I be subject to such behavior all because I chose not to publish a comment posted on my own blog?
The blogosphere has become a haven for defamatory, hatred and cyber harassment with no fear of legal consequences.
Something has to be done and bloggers must be held accountable for their actions. When do we say enough is enough?

Well I agree my friend bloggers must be held accountable for their actions and just because you didn’t publish their comment doesn’t give them a right to harass you like this I’m sorry about them too my friend ((HUGS))

If anyone has had issues with google and their blogger please contact me, as I would like to see if there are enough people out here to start a class action lawsuit against google for their failure to protect people out here. It’s unfair they are able to sit by, and do nothing while users are harassed and stalked via blogger. I have learned of a way to get these bloggers (users posting the insulting blogs) There is something called the john doe lawsuit where you can sue a user id or ip address to get information on the person posting these blogs. For example you can file a suit with google to demand to know whose ip it was posted from. Once that is found you can then file suit against that ip address to get that persons info. Then you can follow up with civil suit against that person.
here is a link with more info on how togo about this I however think google needs to be brought down a peg or 2 so if you are interested in being part of a class action lawsuit against google then please email me. I would be very willing to talk to anyone who has issues with google blogs that threaten their reputation, life or business.
Thanks,
Tammy

Tammy, I hope that you have 200, 000 as Google is about to sue you and they will win.
Google is not responsible for the content published and they cannot be held accountable. Those uneducated should not get involved in things that they know nothing about. I do not advice that anyone get involved with you. Please do not contact me further.

My brother and I, my family, my daughter, even my pets have been threatened, slandered, harrassed and pretty much stalked by 2 women on Blogspot. I emailed Google several times with the proof and they did nothing. Now these 2 women are twisting it to where we are the stalkers! Its horrible. They spammed by brothers emails. Fortunately I blocked them before that happened. We dont even personally know these women. My brother is hospitalized now, and these women crack jokes, but yet claim me creating libel. I have many pages of threats/insults made but no one to help me.

Lylah Starkey, first let me just say how sorry I am to hear that your brother is in the hospital. I advice you to tell your story and then let it go there. Keep a copy of all emails, screen captures and any other proof that you’ll need, but quit replying to them. Have you contacted the authorities?

Hi Rose,
Thank you for comment about my brother. He did contact the FBI and they got involved just briefly, the cyberbullies kept pulling down their posts. So he never heard from them again. I will quit replying to them because they just get under my skin and I end up saying hateful things. Thank you for advice!!

Would you mind contacting me? I’d like to know how you were able to finally get your TORMENTOR’s blog shut down? I have a crazy debunked Sgt from Texas who has posted my info and Google’s only response was to put a hate disclaimer on his lousy blog. He’s stalked me for YEARS.

And Rose?
To that idiot that said Google was going to sue YOU, what a IDIOT to even type that nonsense to you the VICTIM. Google should be held accountable, their lame asses to let this shitty crap go down unabated and then HIDE behind the Freedom of Speech.

Frozty, I can empathize in your situation and actually the one blog has not been shut down. Blogger will not stand behind their Tos. This one person has been stalking me for a year and a half.
