Well, it could have been the time when I had to switch the job I had with shift time, to another 8-5 kind of work. I loved to be able to begin to work late every second day, it made me another available time.

Like doing things in the mornings instead of the afternoons/evenings. I went riding, exercising, shopping in the mornings instead. Just perfect!

Then after that, I had to get up real early in the mornings EVERY day… Needless to say, I NEVER could get use to that. It was a pain in the a** all the time.

I had to do it though to climb further up on the career stages, but it made me feel worned out.

I think the hardest thing I’ve had to overcome is the past difficulties of my marriage. That may sound harsh, but it isn’t. I love my wife, and she’s the greatest woman in the world, and things are better now than they ever have been, but no one ever seems to talk about the difficulties of giving your life to someone else. The difficulties of meshing your baggage with your spouse’s.

Praise God, that he’s helping both me and my wife to grow in our relationship together.

    Thanks for stopping by Gabbatha.

Sorry I’m late, Rose. I’ve been working every day and evening this week.

The answer to this one is easy for me: gambling. For many years I was addicted to VLTs, and it came very close to destroying me. Figuratively and literally. I faced debt to useraries, eviction…and suicide.

But I don’t do it anymore. 3 years and counting. I blogged about it here.

I think the most challenging obstacle for me has been the salvage, repair, and renewal of a marriage that was doomed to failure. At this time two years ago, we were one more fight away from getting a divorce. Since then, we’ve both worked hard to rekindle first the friendship and then the romance and now we’re only a couple months away from our tenth anniversary.

I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I’d failed.

Thank you for your comment on my blog :)

Interesting topic. Well, I did a career change at age 32, that was challenging, but it’s currently working out well, and I now believe it was all part of God’s plan for me.

My biggest thing to overcome was a relationship that didn’t work out. It’s been 5 years, and as they say time heals all, I am over it, but the problem now is, I can’t seem to find anyone with whom I have share so many common interests and passions with. This girl was like my other half when it came to interests and passions, and I’m not finding anything even close to that. I’ve dated quite a bit, and even had two 3-5 month relationships since, but ultimately those just felt like we were together merely because it was nice to have someone -as far as interests there were always concessions. Many couples make consessions when it comes to interests, but having tasted what it’s like to not have to, I can’t seem to like less.
Not sure if that made sense. Anyway, kind regards. Tom

I’m late, I’m sorry. But I’ve got an excuse, i’ve been sicky. :)

My biggest challenge has been battling depression. (yep, i said it). I tried medicines, but they either made it worse or made me feeling-free. So now I battle it on my own - it takes a lot of willpower and energy. some days, i still lose, but some I win. :)
