Bloggers honor the innocent victims of that awful day.
Sept 11th, 2006 marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. This year bloggers will be paying tribute to the victims of 9/11. 2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11 and it was started by aspiring author D C Roe.
D.C. writes: “2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11. On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11. Each person will pay tribute to a single victim. We will honor them by remembering their lives, and not by remembering their murderers.”
I was the 2133th blogger to sign up for the 2,996 Tribute project. On September 11, 2006 I will join volunteer bloggers as I pay tribute to the life of “Navy artist Michael Allen Noeth.” There is still a need for more blogger volunteers. Please consider volunteering by signing up at http://www.dcroe.com/2996/ .

This is a wonderful thing bloggers are doing. No one will ever forget that day and all the families that were affected.

I believe this is the largest online collaborative effort ever attempted. It should be good.
I just released a column on the project which can be viewed at:
