This blog contains topics of Sex. If sex offends you, please leave.
Apparently one blogger is appalled at the topics that I blog about. Her comment reads “In regards to her recent posts, I’m appalled by the amount of sex she has on there. You find less sex on porn sites!”
Bob wants to know where the porn is on my site and I was reading the comment to my husband, when my son over heard. My son’s reply was “Mom how does she know how much sex is on a porn site?”
So, Morrigan how do you know how much sex is on a porn site? Inquiring minds want to know.
Katie to answer your question which reads, “The fact that I know her children read her blog as they have posted comments on them before. I wonder what they think of the recent blogs.”
My children are just fine with the topics that I blog about. Both my children are teens and they learn more in sex-ed class than they do reading my blog. The things that I blog about are news topics, therefore it’s not like they haven’t been published elsewhere.
Comments further read, ” I guess Sex is a big thing with her. I, like many others, find it totally gross of what is on her blog. Apparently her readers like it per the comments there. Different strokes for different folks I guess.”
I’m not a prude or frigid. Maybe the discussion of sex is a taboo subject with this commenter or maybe she just needs something else to blog about as she’s running out of crap to post about me. Perhaps she should quit visiting if it offends her so much?
What do you think?
Ps: Look for many more posts on the subject of sex!
Sex sells, especially to web surfers.

Well Rose that is the exact point I was going to make. If all they have is complaints about your Blog, why do they visit?
It never seems to amaze me how these few pathetic individuals, make it their ordeal to complain and criticize about your blog! Is it because they have no real life to discuss of their own, so they go on day-by-day discussing yours? Or is it they can’t have a sensible discussion among them selves as their trapped in their tiny existence of life, and their not going anywhere fast..
Is it they have nothing to blog about so they visit Rose’s blog to either give them inspiration or simply act out as old hags..
Sex is not a taboo people – and for what Rose is posting – it’s simply meant in humor or a point of interest article or debate.
If they can’t hack it then quiet reading it, simple as that!

Well I see this topic Technology News: Internet: Internet Providers to Battle Child Porn which has the word porn in it and is defaintly worth discussing as these scum need dealing with.
This one – Odd News:New Zealand OKs Topless Porn Star Parade – which mentions top-less ladies, oh! no the skies going to fall in, how could you Rose?
Also this – Masturbate-a-thon Record Set – where masterbation gets a mention (ps, this is good for a laugh if you’ve not read it yet). Hardly a taboo subject as this is the 21st century and not the 19th or even the early 20th when you couldn’t discuss life in full.
Another mention to the Masturbate-a-thon above.
Well that’s everything sexual from the first two pages and I have to admit, that none of these include any sex at all…..sadly. All they do is make references to sex and porn which is hardly criminal. Defaintly not more sex than a porn site and I can happily tell you this from experiance.

Normally women who complain about women being into sex, are the ones who either not getting it or have some issues with closeness. In most cases, the ones I have met, were married to a guy with homosexual tendencies. As time went by, the husbands withdrew more and more into their secret tendencies, while the women wound up alone with their unfulfilled needs.
Katie reminds me of one of those women, she needs something to do with her time, but is too frustrated to be positive about it. Pretty sad if you ask me.
If that is not the issue, then I’m even more worried. About her that is haha
Great blog, Rose!

If your blogs contain so much sex, I have to assume the persona (albeit brielfy) and ask “Where’s the beef?”
Each night, I love the mail segment of Bill O’Reilly. Many nights he reads 2 emails … each seeing the same segment the night before as either bashing the guest, or pandering to him … I’ll leave it to you to fill in the obvious.
One thing your blogs are not is salacious. Just keep ono doing what you’re doing.

Mike, just what is it that you are you implying? LOL
Nun’s get none Stu and maybe that is their problem!

The topics you post about will attract a limited type of person it may also repell others you should therefore taylor you content to fit the profile of the type of person you wish to visit your blog.
While you will always attract people from outside this profile (sometimes) and from time to time repel one from inside the bulk of your readership will fit the profile.
If you post exclusivly gossip, sex and scandel expect a readership like that of a cheap tabloid (Like The Sun, The Star and the like). If, on the otherhand, you post topics on hardware and opensource software development expect geeks.
If you then switch to writting about the finer points of needlecraft expect to loose the previouse readership who will leave moaning as they go.
Any change of direction as perceaved by your readers will cause this reaction. Try writting mostly about how great picking your nose is, the size of your tomatoes or the price of stock for a few weeks to see a similar effect.
Hoping to be helpfull as ever…

Blogs are for blogging. If it’s a personal blog it’s about what your interested in. Readers will come and go as they please wheither they like your writings or not.
ps. Little tip, get a new host, I had to refresh all of the pages I looked at several times before they would show and got bored and left. You won’t get many staying around if you can’t provide them with a site to look at. Hoping to be helpfull as ever…

Matt, the only one that reads my blog that is appalling is Katie and her ilk. I apologize. I mean you no disrespect, but you are wrong on this one. I will not taylor my blog so that she approves. If she does not like the content that I blog about then she has no right viewing my blog through proxy.
After all I did ban her and she’s still banned today. Katie and her her ilk, are bullies who get satisfaction out of all of this. The criticism of my blog is just another of their motives for taunting.
The accusations and allegations of my being a bad parent and what not is just part of their game and that’s all this is- a game to them.
Anyhoot, I replied enough about them! Now back to the topic of Sex. Does anyone have any sex news and no Bill – not your story how you got a strippers number. LOL

Hi Rose, came by to catch up on what’s been up at your blog, and whoa!!! I had to go back through your archives to see the sexually explicit stuff I missed! lol!!! I was hoping to get something really juicy…….what the heck was your commenter referring to?!! That masturbathon was interesting….I would really like to be in the audience for that one and see if I can spot the fakers.
Ah, can’t please them all, and no sense trying to. We who frequent your blogs like what you write about that’s why we keep coming back. if we didn’t like you and your writing, then it would be easy to go elsewhere, wouldn’t it? Or is Katie on a one way street on the internet and can’t get out?
Oh, and speaking of sex, it seems to be a very popular topic among the blogs lately. I noticed many more people are posting about sex, and I am left to wonder if it’s the heat of summer, or is it the web of links I’ve been following? hmmmm….. am not complaining though
sex at 40 rocks!!! (ouch!)

Funny thing, Rose, is that you don’t want me to comment on your blog. Yet you ask me a question on it.
I don’t find sex offensive, just the ceaseless mention of masturbation, penises, and the like. I happen to enjoy sex, and the fact that I know how much sex is on a porn site is kind of a duh. If it’s a porn site, it’s going to have sex on it, reguardless of the type of porn it is. Passing off masturbation and penisis as news is just an excuse. There are other things in the news other than sex, but I guess it depends on the kind of sites you’re visiting for your news.
I am not a prude, but if I’m going to read a news story, I kind of expect it to be the kind of news my kids could read (but I guess since I’m THAT kind of parent, it doesn’t matter, right?). Just because you’re kids are teens and learn more in a sex-ed class (I’m not sure what kind of sex-ed class your kids have, since I never learned about masturbation in any of my classes) than in your blog does not mean they’re old enough (i.e mature enough) to read about some of the things you write about.
Morgan
P.S Chinese is not spelled chines. You might want to check that on your Specialty Penis Restaurant entry.

Morgan, thank you for pointing out the mistype in my post that was very considerate of you.
Would you be so kind to pass on to Katie that there are several mistypes on her blog. I’m sure that you will find them for her.
There are other news topics that I could blog about and as a visitor to my blog, you’ll see that I also cover those topics too.
I’m sorry that you take offense to the constant mention of masturbation and penis in the news. I get my news from Google and Yahoo news and you’ll see on Yahoo they have a section for odd news.
Seeing how you don’t know my children then I’m not sure how you can judge what they are mature enough to read. I think as their parent, I’d be the best judge of that. We have always talked openly to our children about sex and some sex education classes discuss masturbation as a substitute for sexual intercourse between young people.
Perhaps that would explain why the rate for teen pregnancy is lower in Canada than it is in the US. The United States has far the highest rate of teen pregnancy.
Education is vitally important when it comes to sex. bbc.co.uk is an excellent website where children can go and ask questions about sex and they even have educational clips like Willy thinks he’s got a weenie.
There are also many other educational sites for teens which discuss masturbation, erections etc.
The word penis is not a dirty word by any means, therefore what harm is there in my children reading my topics?
There is more sex in movies and in lyrics now a days then anything I’ve chosen to blog about and you know teens do have sex? I’m not saying if mine has because that is none of your damn business. I’m just making a point!
As for what’s on a porn site, I’m sure Bob will be happy to tell you that it’s not news article about some woman cutting offer her husband’s penis, Wee Willy Winter Warmers, a Chinese delicacy or even a Masturbate-A-Thon.
Now Morgan if you don’t care for my topics of discussion then please quit coming to my blog. I don’t discuss what you blog about and I don’t visit your blog.
Thanks for coming out my dear! You can leave now!

yeah sex does sell.- But then I find American to be so puritanical….and self righteous. Other topics that could really get a fire going are: 1) Americans and sex
I bet a lot of european and middle eastern and asian presidents get blow jobs and it just isn’t a big deal over there…(remembering good old Clinton) For americans it has to be clean and pure and restricted… kinda like shaven legs…. ha ha..
2) Age of consent
I also think that many teens have sex with older people and that they should lower the age of consent… I am as liberal as anything… but lines should be drawn – and the age of consent for sex with an adult should be 16, not 18.
3) Monogamy?
I also don’t think monogamy is natural with for most people. It does seem to work better later in life…It just seems that most people end up cheating or eventually leaving a relationship…
I think you should do a posting on monogamy/ polygamy, polyandry or those who are just polyamorous~!
Wrote: Aug 18, 2006 at 12:00 am
Nina, I’ve actually written an article on the age of sexual consent in Canada and blogged about it. I think the age of sexual consent should be raised in Canada from 14 to 16, which they are planning to do. Monogamy vs Polygamy would make an interesting topic. The Same-Sex Couples debate would bring in a large readership. Hmm, thank you for the suggestions. I could blog about how Paris Hilton has decided she’s not going to have sex for one year or how a Pervert is fighting against sex registries or even a larger story- UN is investigating claims peacekeepers are paying for sex.

Wrote: Aug 18, 2006 at 8:51 am
so sex does sell! I’ve noticed that whenever sex is discussed, the comment threads get VERY long
hmmm…perhaps Morgan needs to focus her energies on the school system that she attended. If they did not cover masturbation in sex ed class, their curriculum is sorely lacking. Every teen will tell you what a big part of their sex life masturbation is. It’s natural, and kids don’t need to feel guilty about it.
……unless of course there’s fruitcake involved

A great quote from Morgan If it’s a porn site, it’s going to have sex on it, reguardless of the type of porn it is.
How the hell do you figure that out? I like my porn, but the sites I like don’t have sex on them at all. I have no interest what so ever in watching a men and women having sex. As soon as there is a man involved the picture/video is spoiled. Gimmie naked ladies every time. Actually I lie there I do visit a few with sex on them but it’s purely girl on girl
ps. while your so busy correcting spelling what the hell is reguardless? Is it similar to regardless??
Wrote: Aug 18, 2006 at 1:09 pm
Bob, Reguardless is one of those common misspelled words in the English language. Bob, tmi, tmi on the porn! That is what I get for telling Ms. Prude that you would fill her in on what’s found on a porn site.
I’m still waiting for someone to explain to me Morgan’s comment.
Morgan says, ” I feel bad for Rose because she is obviously suffering somehow. In
reguardsregards to her recent posts, I’m appalled by the amount of sex she has on there. You find less sex on porn sites!”You know I blame this on the parent. Perhaps sex was a taboo subject in Morgan’s house growing up, therefore she has grown into a 23 year old woman who is uncomfortable with the subject sex.

Hi, Rose. It’s been awhile since I’ve commented on your blog. I have something to say that’s sort of related to the comments here.
I’ve just spent days going through web sites that have a lot to say about Rose, Shawn and their friends and associates. There are many and I didn’t get to anywhere near all of them. Rose and I have had a friendly virtual relationship for some time. I don’t belong to Today’s Woman because I don’t write poetry or anything else at all, really, except a sill blog and would have nothing to contribute to that site, so I really had nothing to balance against the things I was reading. I was getting increasingly worried that I had really mis-judged Rose. How could there be so many people saying these things if there wasn’t some basis for it? I wondered.
Then I finally realized – there are a lot of sites but not a lot of people; it’s the same posters at every forum, more or less, saying the same things ad nauseum. And always at the centre – that zero person. I had wasted so much of time and was left feeling like I was covered in a light coating of slime.
It was all so unnecessary. I know Rose and she has always been friendly and gracious to me. I do not know those other people. A couple of their sites may have interested me if I had any respect left for them, because they were articulate and interesting. Or would have been if I didn’t know that their authors were so petty and childish.
So now I think that Rose and Shawn must really have something if they can inspire this kind of passion in people all over the world and sustain it for so long. Some of the stuff I read had been started years ago and was still active, for cryin’ out loud! I think those people are having a circle-jerk and are simply using Rose and Shawn the same way a furtive masterbator uses a dirty magazine. But even the wanker gets a new mag every once in a while.
I’m sorry, Rose, that I doubted you for even a second.

I’ll edit myself before Morgan does it for me: sillY; mastUrbator…any others? I don’t know how to use hyphens and semi-colons, so I just throw them in randomly. Semi-literate: that’s me! I expect that means my opinions can be safely disregarded, since I’m clearly too stupid to know any better. And my use of the word ‘wanker’ probably means that I know more than a nice girl should about crank yankers. (Hey! that may have been a poem!
)

Actually, there are far worse things regularly shown on TV these days than sex. How about violence, murder, bombings, shootings, random executions, civil wars, famines, …? All of these get graphic images on tv shows that kids CAN watch, the news.
I don’t know what kind of world we are living in where we glorify violence (and isn’t the act of reporting it, to some, an act of glorification) and reject sex. Sex doesn’t kill hundreds of thousands, maim millions, and starve tens of millions.

I don’t think that anyone should have to operate self-censorship within this unless they are really catering to a very specialist porn niche….in which case their readers wouldn’t be offended anyway.
I would find it hard to tailor my blog to anyone else’s tastes, as I blog about what I feel might be good…..and I don’t see why anyone else should have to. Hang on in there……!!!! I enjoyed it!

Marriage has it’s place, but when divorce beats out working marriages, one needs to call into question if we shouldn’t just have fun for some time until that “one” comes along. Take test drives more often, live in sin to see if things are going to work. After all that, take the dive if you really want to spend the rest of your life with this other human.
The only thing people should believe is that two people that love each other will be together, regardless of marriage, making marriage a show. A little tapdance humans do to get gifts, have that ‘big day’, or legitimize themselves to their church and others. Silly stuff like that.
No, the church isn’t one of my fans…

While it’s expected that 37.7% of all Canadian marriages will end in a divorce before their 30th anniversary, divorce rate is down.
I’m all for living together before marriage. I have been married for 19 years and their was no tap dancing done at my wedding.
By the way- My wedding song was “living in sin.”

My husband and I lived together for about a year before we got married, and while we did have our rough patches, we got through them and are stronger than ever.
Humans, as a species are not monogamous at all. Marriage is a relatively new concept. Humans are also one of two mammals who have sex for fun. I think dolphins are the other species. Could be some kind of ape though. So of course sex sells!
Marriage is only a form of bondage if you look at it like that. My best friend is all about ‘responsible’ free love, but she’s also really miserable. Too much of a good thing, maybe?
