Are you in search for something good to read over the summer? Why not download free eBooks?
I was reading Lorelle on Wordpress when I learned that in honor of Project Gutenberg’s 35th anniversary, the 2006 World eBook Fair has made its online collections of ebooks available to the public for free from July 4th to August 4th, 2006.
According to World eBook Fair, the “World eBook Library Consortia Collection shelves more than 330,000 PDF eBooks in 100+ languages contained in 112 of the finest eBook and eDocument collections published on the Internet today.”

I like e-books and all but real books allow me the chance to get away from the computer screen. If I can get a book on paper rather than pixels I’ll gladly take that. And over paper I’ll take audio books. I put my audio books on my ipod and listen to them at work alot of the time.

Due to my administration of a writing community the good part of the content that I read is online. I also do book reviews for authors and I have a large stack of books that I need to read and get reviewed. Therefore, I did not download any books from the ebook fair. I’d have no time to read them. lol I thought that I leave the reference for those who might be interested.

I’ve downloaded a few files from guttenberg project before. Now I’ll have to check out if there is anything new on ebooks. I still tend to like the printed variety though. I like being able to sit back in bed or on a comfy couch to read. When they’re not too long, I’ve printed out the books to read at my leisure and not have to jostle with the kids for computer time
