Hugs And Hope for Sick kids - making a difference one smile at a time.
Sick children have very little to smile about. But you can change that by sending them some “Happy Mail.” Cheery cards, small gifts and homemade crafts give these children bright smiles and a reason to get out of bed each day.
Pictured above are some of the gifts that my family and I purchased for the children. Each month Today’s Woman Writing Community sponsors one child and for that month, members of Today’s Woman send that child happy mail.
My Children are enjoying the Hugs & Hope program so much that my daughter used some of her birthday money to purchase the little Golden retriever in the photo above that she sent off today to Sydney.
Each month my children have decided to select one child to send ‘happy mail’ to.
I really think this is a wonderful program. Please be sure to read my exclusive interview with Marsha Jordan founder of Hugs and Hope.

Sydney, Australia??
WHat a great cause. Good choice in the blue elephant too - I don’t know a kid that wouldn’t absolutely love that thing. I could really use a blue elephant……
Seriously though - I agree - it’s a great cause. Even as a healthy adult I go through patches where I need cheering up so I can well imagine these poor little kids must do as well. And taking the time to do something like this to cheer them up …… go you
