Where Do The Years Go? Happy Birthday, Sweet 16

My daughter turns 16 tomorrow. I look at the world outside my window and I wonder what the future holds for her. I wish I could somehow rewind time and start all over.

But, it’s time for her to spread her wings and fly. May she take on both the joys and challenges of adulthood. May she know that we love her unconditionally.

Tomorrow as she turns sweet 16, and I watch my daughter step from girlhood into womanhood, may she always know that though she may make mistakes through her journey of life, each mistake is a lesson learned. May she know that when life becomes too much, she can always find refuge under her Mother’s wings.

To my beautiful daughter, may you always remember your fondest childhood memories.

Never be afraid to dream your dreams, to stand up for what you believe in. Always stay focus. Never forget the important things.

Trust in yourself and believe in yourself, for we believe in you.

Live your life with purpose, never cry for someone who won’t cry for you and always remember that you are Mommy and Daddy’s baby girl.

Happy Birthday Sweet 16, my precious daughter.

    wow! Happy Birthday to your daughter!!! I remember the 16th birthday, and yet I cannot imagine our daughter’s 16th yet!

    Wow it sounds like you guys have a great relationship.You will both come to count on that later on in life. BTW what, if any legal rights does she gain at 16? Over here in the UK we gain a few. Most notably 16 is the legal age of sexual consent over here. P.S You are on my blogroll now.
