In April 2006, Stacy L. Harp a marriage and family therapist intern was trying to convince Google to drop a website from its popular, free blog host that promotes “boy love,” sexual relationships between men and adolescents. She was unsuccessful despite her best efforts.
Yesterday I learned that wordpress.com was hosting blogs that promote “girl love,” sexual relationships between men and adolescent girls.
I brought this to the attention of wordpress.com, Podz informed me via email that he viewed one of the questionable blogs and it neither contains nor link to any illegal material.
They did assure me that it’s presence on wordpress.com would be discussed. I expect that is as far as it will go.
Law enforcement officers state that there is nothing that they can do about these boy/girl love websites, because they have not broken any laws. In the mean time “childlove” advocates blog at the same place our children do. A frightening thought!
The blog in question is owned by an admitted pedophile who states that pedophiles don’t prey on children. Yeah Right!
If you liked this post, why not buy me a coffee?

I’ve had the same problem with LiveJournal. They cite freedom of speech issues.
I cite obscenity laws.
Perhaps a more organized and public complaint to these blog hosts may be more effective?

That is so sad. The hardest part is that the people creating the blogs are crafty enough not to break the law! grrr!

Personally I’m tired of the freedom the internet gives an individual. They can say and do whatever they want and hide behind a document meant for more noble purposes then to defend their asshole behavior. Pardon the language!
However, seeing how it’s my blog. I guess I have the freedom to say whatever I damn well want.
Blogger states: Blogger is a provider of content creation tools, not a mediator of that content. We allow our users to create blogs, but we don’t make any claims about the content of these pages.
Stacy took it public with Blogger and her efforts failed. They see no crime being commited and you know when one of these pedophiles exploit a child, then we’ll read about it in the news. However, instead of us reading- Cops search MySpace page of slain girl, we’ll be reading – Investigators have now just revealed that —— blogged about how he was attracted to little girls. No Shit!

Hi Rose,
Recently, I came across an attractive website (not a blog) that promotes girl-love i.e. anything to do with little girls (their sweetness, beauty, grace etc) and also romantic relationships between adults and little girls. They insist the content stay tasteful and not graphic although of course, there are in some stories, underlying tones of subtle sexual episodes. However, they do warn of illegalities and law infringements in different countries and they rightfully, caution the reader to check these things first before viewing further. I came across this site by chance, from wanting to submit some writing. They were looking for poems, fiction & real-life photographs of little girls. The contributors were good writers and poets, skilled in their art. Sadly, there were a hefty number.

Susan, a KCTV5 News Investigation uncovered that a missing children site was a front for something perverted. Just like Lindsay Ashford and Todd Nickerson donation to Save the Children was a front, the website that you came across by chance when looking for somewhere to submit your work is something perverted and sick. I don’t doubt that there was a hefty number as there is hefty numbers using Wordpress, blogger and Wikipedia. Thank you for posting about this.

just like stacy and you i have stumbled across this sort of problem where companies say that they’ve reviewed the content and havn’t found anything illeagal, yet the content clearly shows twisted values and ideals. it angers me that most of them use “freedom as speech” as a excuse not to interfere.
i think they’re cowards, i think they’re too scared, or just arrogant. how can someone stand by and allow something like that? standing back just watching encourages people that this is ok, but it’s not. anywy, thank you for a brilliant blog that discusses important issues.

Damn. Well, at least they said they’d “discuss” it. That’s more than what LiveJournal or Blogger have said, which is “we’re not doing anything, period”. What really sucks is that people are free to promote disgusting preferences. There is nothing tasteful about molestation.

The same old sayings.
Pedophiles don’t molest children. I wonder how many times that I’ve heard this one.
If you go to sexcriminals.com you’ll see posts there that say the same thing. One of the people doing the posts to this tune leaves the country quite regularily and goes to countries that look the other way when it comes to molesting children. He however will swear that he doesn’t act on his desires.
Another so called non-acting pedophile has given a news paper a story about his fantasy’s which by the way are quite graphic.
There’s not a pedophile around to my knowledge that’s ever molested a child.
And now about the price of the London Bridge that I have for sale.
The other problem is “Freedom of Speech”.
Our freedoms end where they begin to encroach on another’s freedom. If this is the case then someone has to enlighten me as to why these baby rapers and perverts are allowed to continue to step on my rights by postig their sick and demented thoughts.
Even the dumbest person alive should be able to see what all these websites are advocating and hoping to accomplish by posting their sickness ( I said “sickness” as I really can’t think of any other word that’s appropriate).
Here’s the secret people. It’s not the right to “Freedom of Speech” that stops these ISP’s from deleting and banning these type of sites. It’s the money that they get for sponsoring them.
I won’t even get into the question of the ACLU and all the other half-ass (sorry) organizations that say that they’re just protecting peoples rights. They’re a sham and a scourge on our society, they do nothing but place these people in the lime-light and draw more attention to them which in turn makes them feel more important.
Once when I was dealing with an attorney that was defending a scumbag for a felony, I asked him how he slept at night. He looked at me dumb founded and asked what I meant. In turn I asked him again how he slept at night knowing he was getting a crook off the hook for a crime that he knew that he had committed. It was funny the attorney was then at a loss for words. He was no different than the ACLU.
I’ve often said that our legislatures don’t want to pass good laws to stop this as they don’t want to take a chance of stepping on their peers toes. How many politicians are guilty of molesting children?
Sorry if I got carried away with this post. I just let my fingers do the walking.

Panda, true they did say they’d discuss it, but that is as far as it will go, I think!
Flicka, I agree when service provides allow this kind of information to be posted, it sends the message that it is condoned.

If it wasn’t for real- I would not of blogged about it. As I stated, Law enforcement officers state that there is nothing that they can do about these boy/girl love websites, because they have not broken any laws.

Wow, I didn’t know that! That’s just sick! I never knew that there were so many damn perverts out there.

Anonymous comments are seen as nothing more than a cowardly act. The fact that you must hide your opinion behind anonymity doesn’t say much for your character. What’s the point of stating an opinion if you won’t stand behind what you state?
