“You know my hips don’t lie and I’m starting to feel it’s right.”
The song, hips don’t lie is becoming yet another overplayed song on the radio. It’s being played to death, just like James Blunt- You’re Beautiful was and look how that turned out.
A radio station in the UK banned him because people were complaining that they were sick of hearing him.
I guess it’s time to change radio stations.
So, what song does your radio station overplay?
Oh I won’t deny my hips don’t lie- Ugg, please make it stop.
Damn it. I’ve got the song stuck in my head.

Radio stations here in the Philippines focus more on the local band scene, and there are a lot of new rising bands that sound well. There are a lot of variety in the favorite playlists; so there’s nothing to complain and get sick about back here when it comes to the music played in the radio.

I hardly listen to the radio at the moment, Rose, but I remember that Candle in the Wind by Elton John was ’super-overplayed’ at the time of Princess Diana’s death.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
I think hips don’t lie is also really overplayed here in FL too. I like the song, but I’m really starting to get sick of it myself!!

Hips don’t Lie is definitely overplayed here as well as Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day”..(I am not quite sick of that one yet, though–it’s still a poignant reminder of this last season of Idol). My daughter and I groan everytime “You’re Beautiful” comes on, and it’s a race to see who can switch the channel first.
