I’m Not over the Hill, It’s just getting Harder to Climb

I’m spending my evening counting down the minutes until I turn 37. Five minutes to go and it’s “Happy Birthday to Me.”

Boy, do I feel old. I don’t know if it’s on account of the extra pounds, few grey hairs or the fact that I have a son twelve and a daughter who soon will be sixteen. When I think back, my mother was thirty-seven when she gave birth to me.Therefore, I’m really not that old. Besides, age is just a number, right?

I’m not over the Hill. The hill is just getting harder to climb.

Wish me happy birthday, dammit!

    Happy Birthday rose. 37 is not such an old age. There are many people who say life starts at 40. So don’t worry about the grey hairs and stuff, it just tells others that you’ve acquired more wisdom than those without.

    Man your really moving along now, it seems you just turned 25 - then 35 now your “37,” Wow your just motoring along for some one at your age..you would think you would want to slow down a little and take it easy ….lol

    I’m just razing you honey, I hope you had a great birthday, after all I made you breakfast complete with toast and coffee, and then dinner with homemade gravy..and a big cake and we all know how much you adore cake!
