Whatever happened to the cute t-shirts with puppies and kitties on them? Please bring back that annoying purple dinosaur “Barney and his friends.” Anything better than the newest line of infant & toddler clothes started by three guys who just thought it be cute for kids to wear something kind of street.
If the name of the new company “Pimpfants,” which was started by three married men in Oregon, two with young children themselves wasn’t impropriate for children clothes, the sayings on these clothes sure is.
I won’t even repeat what’s on some of the shirts, because it’s simply sick. However, one of the tanktops from the line called “babybeaters” has a reverence to incest.
Who in their right mind would put this shirt on their baby? This is just sick, demented and sad.
In the section “lil beaters,” the header of the website sports two children dressed as gangsters and a baby with a tattoo on his hand that says “pimp.”
In an interview done on pastdeadline.com, one of the men was asked “Do you aspire to have your children grow up to be pimps and/or streetwalkers?” His reply was that they thought it would be cute for kids to wear something kind of street.
What’s cute about gangs, incest and prostitution? This in my opinion is very wrong.
What message are we sending to our children? That’s it’s cool to be a prostitute and gangster?
A company like “Pimpfants” is just another sad look at what society is becoming.
Newsflash Mr. PG despite what you said in your interview “Pimp” still means what it always has in my dictionary.

Yeah this is absolutely disgusting and so very sad to see anyone trying to put out clothing like this, especially on their children and there’s nothing street about this at all it’s just very sad and dispicable.

I think the Pimpfants clothes are cute but I can understand some peoples issues with them. What really disturbs me with childrens clothes is all the skimpy liitle girl clothes at all the big name stores like Baby Gap or Old Navy. They’ve got low cut pants and very high cut shirts. Little shorts that barely cover the bum. They really do look like little ho clothes. After looking at Pimpfants site I think the clothes are fine it’s just some of the choices of words on the clothes that raise an eyebrow.

Thank you Sharon for sharing your opinion on Pimpfant’s Childrens Clothing. I too am appalled at the style of clothes coming out for children and teens.
It’s not so much the style of Pimfants clothing, but the name of the company and the slogans on the PimpFants clothing, which raises more than an eyebrow for most. It’s certainly a controversial topic.
I still have to ask you what kind of message is Pimpfants sending? There is just something really wrong with children wearing clothing that says My Mommy’s a ____. Well you fill in the blank.

I’ve seen t-shirts for babies with nasty sayings on them, not necessarily from pimpfants, but I still was disgusted by them and wonder what parent would put something like that on a baby.
I’m not uptight at all. I consider myself fairly liberal, actually. However, there is no way I’d want my child wearing a shirt that says “Daddy’s Little Squirt” or “My Mom Puts Out” .. or worse!

Gerri I can’t blame you there.
