Every woman needs romance in her life. Shawn and I have a wonderful marriage but we live a very frantic life. We have two children, two businesses that we run and by the end of the day we are exhausted. We realized long ago that we need to take time out of our busy day to day routine for each other.

Sometimes we go for a walk or out for a coffee or just relax at home after the kids are in bed.

Lately, I’ve been under a great deal of stress, so last night Shawn planned a romantic evening. He ordered in a nice Chinese dinner, we had a glass of wine and watched a couple of movies and I won’t share the rest of the details.

But, it was romantic and an out of the blue surprise. It was a night of pure heaven and I woke up this morning feeling like a newlywed. Most women complain that their husbands takes them for granted. I never have that complaint, as Shawn always puts my feelings first.

In your relationship, it is so important that you make time for each other. It is part of the recipe for a happy marriage.
